Gabion lacing wire is a kind of spiral wire for binding and stiffening of gabions. It is supplied in high tensile spiral wire or helical wire form for easy and quick tieing of the mesh panels. Hence, lacing wire is also known as spiral wire, helical wire, binding wire or stiffener wire. Lacing wire is used for both weldmesh and hex mesh gabions.

Gabion binding wires are commonly supplied with 2.4 or 2.2mm diameter, packed in rolls of 25 kg per roll.
